Every argument I hear for the defense of Joe Paterno is always terrible. It’s either the really basic “chain of command” argument, (which is so easily refuted it generally just leaves everyone angry) or a series of poorly worded phrases that amount to “Joe Paterno made one mistake and some boys were continuously sexually assaulted because of it but whatever football.” That school makes me sick sometimes, happy valley is a cult.
I’m somewhat ashamed of living in Pennsylvania recently. Joe Paterno was not a saint, just a figurehead of a cult that embraces overly reveled machoism. Not to mention the disgusting things he covered up and refused to report.
